On 26th September, Danapha successfully held a workshop on “The applications of Nanotechnology in developing new drugs” with the presence of Representative of Ministry of Heath, Representatives of Danang city Commitee, Proffesors from University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Ho Chi Minh city), Representatives of all hospitals and medical centers in Danang city.

At the workshop, Prof. PhD. Le Van Truyen - Former Minister of Health, senior pharmaceutical expert introduced about the overview of Nanotechnology and Nano medicine” while faculty of University of Medicine and Pharmacy and research team represented about the applications of nanotechnology in developing, manufacturing medicine and comestic. After all the representation, many guests expressed a particular interest in the topic “Research on preparation and pre-clinial trials Liposome Paclitaxel in cancer treatment”. Many questions about the treatment effect, the safety and targeted therapy of this medicine.

 

Nanotechnology is a new breakthrough in current medicine background and being proven the safety and treatment effects in comparision with conventional dosage form. However, in VietNam, there is no in-depth studies in applying nanotechnology in pharmacy. This inspired Danapha to pursuing nanotechnology applications to create the difference and ability to compete with internation pharmaceutical companies. Danapha had patiently pursued this orientation for a long time and the process has gone on schedule. Danapha had registed to be certificated Science and Technology Enterprise and will develope the research to prepare Liposome Etoposide and Liposome Paclitaxel in cancer treatment to invest in Danang Hi-tech Park.

With the high-tech medicine first deployed in Vietnam, Danapha hope to increase the prestige of Danapha and Vietnamese pharmacy and conquer the ambition to become the leadership brand of Pharmacy in Southest Asia. Moreover, Danapha desire to reduce the cost of treatment for poor patients and affirm the commitment of working for social health.

At the end of the workshop, Danapha received a lot of congratulations from guests for these high achievements and wish Danapha soon finish all the research steps to launch those nano pharmacy in Vietnam.
